The Brighton Beach Boxes, Moonlit Sanctuary and Phillip Island Penguin Tour

From AUD $155.00
  • Duration: 10 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Melbourne, Victoria
  • Product code: Penguin

We begin by driving along a seaside road close to the beach of Port Phillip Bay and head to Saint Kilda, a well known Melbourne suburb which is very popular in summertime as a beach resort. We stop in front of the historic Luna Park, which has a very interesting and photogenic entrance, and visit Acland Street, famous for its delicious cake shops. You will have free time to wander and explore (and buy a slice of cake!). Then we move to the Brighton Beach Boxes, a colourful row of small wooden houses on a pretty beach which is a very popular photographic location. You will have some more free time here. Then we visit Moonlit Sanctuary. This award winning wildlife reserve has a lot of space for the animals to wander around in. It shelters many small endangered Australian marsupial and bird species.  You are able to hand feed the wallabies and kangaroos, and it is a good place to take a photo together with these cute Australian marsupials. After this, we head to Phillip island, which has some beautiful empty and unspoilt white sand beaches. We will go into the town of Cowes where you will have time for dinner (dinner is not included in the price of the tour. During the winter months we will not be visiting Cowes for dinner before viewing the Penguin Parade, because the penguins arrive back early compared to summer). Then we visit The Nobbies, a natural reserve at the western edge of Phillip island. There is a fur seal colony offshore, and if we are lucky we may be able to see penguin chicks during the nesting season. There is spectacular natural scenery as well as wild wallabies here. Finally, we head to the Penguin Parade to watch the smallest and the cutest penguins in the world come out of the sea and walk back to their nests. Watching them walk is a memory which is guaranteed to last for a lifetime!  It  then takes around 2 hours to drive from the Penguin Parade back to the city.

We take pride in our good service and attention to detail (we offer Japanese style customer service), and we are always happy to take many photos of you at all of the beautiful locations which we visit. We offer a friendly, flexible and informative small group tour experience, and we guarantee that you will have many happy memories to last for many years!

There is a Penguin Parade App with a lot of interesting information which can be translated into Japanese and Spanish, and also into Chinese, Korean and German. We suggest that you download it before you join the tour. The cost of the tour includes entry into Moonlit Sanctuary as well as the Penguin Parade.
